What does this tool do?

It renders deterministic collector YAML with buildOpenTelemetryCollectorConfig (alias generateOpenTelemetryCollectorYaml): OTLP gRPC/HTTP receivers, canonical batch → memory_limiter → resource processors, otlp/debug/prometheus exporters, and traces/metrics/logs pipelines with reference diagnostics.

What are the default ports and processor order?

OTLP gRPC defaults to 4317, OTLP HTTP to 4318, and Prometheus to 8889 (custom ports fall back to these when out of range). batch always renders before memory_limiter regardless of config order.

Is my collector config uploaded or stored?

No. YAML rendering and diagnostics run entirely client-side — endpoints, ports, and resource attributes never leave your browser.

What fails validation?

Referencing an undefined exporter (e.g. logs → otlp when otlp is off) warns and sets valid to false; a pipeline missing receivers, processors, or exporters errors; and enabling no pipelines errors with At least one service pipeline must be enabled.
