Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of DevTools. DevTools is operated from Türkiye by Göksel Yeşiller, an independent developer operating under the DevTools name. Contact: devtools@genithora.com. By using the service, you confirm that you can legally accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

DevTools provides free browser-based developer utilities. Most core transformations run locally. Some features require a network request, use a third-party data source, or route a user-directed request through DevTools infrastructure. No account or payment is currently required. Features may be added, changed, rate-limited, suspended, or discontinued.

2. Permitted use

You may use DevTools for lawful development, testing, education, and related professional or personal purposes. You are responsible for your inputs, selected targets, outputs, and decisions based on them.

You must not:

• break any law, infringe rights, impersonate another person, or process data without authority;
• probe, attack, overload, disrupt, bypass limits, scrape abusively, or attempt unauthorized access to DevTools or another system;
• use the HTTP proxy, lookup, breach-checking, identity/test-data, security, or network tools for spam, credential attacks, surveillance, fraud, harassment, or other abuse;
• submit malware or secrets, credentials, personal data, or confidential information you are not authorized to process;
• misrepresent generated test identifiers as genuine documents or use them to impersonate, deceive, or evade verification;
• resell or provide automated access in a way that imposes unreasonable load or violates a third-party provider's terms.

Backend network tools (SSL/TLS Inspector, DNS Propagation Checker, Subdomain Explorer, Security Headers Checker, WHOIS Lookup, IP Intelligence, and similar server-backed diagnostics) must only be used against domains, IPs, or URLs you own or have explicit permission to test. Automated bulk scanning, evasion of rate limits, and unauthorized reconnaissance are prohibited. Report misuse or request opt-out via our Abuse Reporting page.

3. Network-enabled tools

When you activate a network-enabled tool, the data identified in its interface is sent to the selected recipient or target. For the HTTP Request Builder, the target URL, method, headers, and body pass through a DevTools server route before being forwarded. Never include production credentials or sensitive data. You represent that you are authorized to contact the target and send the request. We may block targets, methods, traffic, or users to protect the service and others.

Backend API tools send your submitted hostname, domain, URL, or IP to our backend service (api.devtools.tools) for TLS, DNS, Certificate Transparency, RDAP, HTTP header, and reputation checks. Third-party data sources are credited on the Attributions page.

4. Results and professional reliance

Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, non-unique, or incorrect. Verify results before production use and maintain backups. DevTools does not provide legal, tax, financial, compliance, medical, identity-verification, or security-audit advice. Security checks, generated policies, licenses, identifiers, configurations, and code templates are starting points, not professional review or certification.

5. Intellectual property

You retain rights you have in your input. Subject to third-party rights and applicable law, you may use generated output for your purposes. We do not claim ownership of your input merely because it is processed. DevTools branding, original site content, and the hosted service remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Open-source code is governed by the license included with its repository; third-party libraries and data remain subject to their own licenses.

6. Third-party services

Some features depend on hosting, email delivery, registries, security databases, lookup APIs, target websites, and other third parties. Their availability, content, terms, and privacy practices are outside our control. A link or integration is not an endorsement. You are responsible for complying with terms that apply to your direct use of those services.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy and KVKK Notice and Cookie and Local Storage Notice explain data processing. Do not use a local-processing statement for one tool as a promise that the entire website makes no network requests.

8. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DevTools is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or security. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data, security, or business opportunity arising from the service. Nothing limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where it cannot be limited, or any other liability that applicable law prohibits limiting.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, legal requirements, excessive traffic, third-party restrictions, or a breach of these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—will survive.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; if applicable law requires a different notice or consent process, that process will control.

12. Governing law and mandatory rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts and enforcement offices with jurisdiction under Turkish law may hear disputes. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or forums available under the law of their habitual residence, and nothing restricts non-waivable data-protection rights.

13. Severability and entire agreement

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be applied to the greatest lawful extent and the rest will remain effective. These Terms and the documents linked from them form the agreement about the service and do not override mandatory law.
