Cookie and Local Storage Notice
Effective and last updated: July 22, 2026 · Version 1.0
DevTools does not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or cross-site behavioural advertising. Vercel documents its Web Analytics as cookie-free and anonymized. The site uses browser local storage so features you request can work without an account.
Local storage we use
| Purpose | Typical content | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Theme | Light, dark, or system preference | Until changed or browser site data is cleared |
| Favorites and recent tools | DevTools page paths; recent history is limited by the application | Until removed or browser site data is cleared |
| Tool auto-save | Input for tools that explicitly offer local auto-save | Until cleared in the tool or browser |
| Tool-specific preferences | For example, saved colours or other local workspace settings | Until removed or browser site data is cleared |
Local-storage data stays in your browser and is not automatically synchronized to a DevTools account. Avoid saving credentials, secrets, or confidential production content.
Analytics and performance
DevTools uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for anonymized usage and web-performance measurements. Web Analytics does not use cookies and its daily visitor hash is not used to track a person across days or websites. Speed Insights reports route, browser, device, country, timing, and Web Vital information without reconstructing a browsing session. Tool input content is not intentionally included. Further processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
External tools and third-party storage
If you activate a network-enabled tool or follow an external link, the recipient may use its own cookies or storage under its policy. DevTools does not control storage set on a third-party site. Network-enabled tools are described in the Privacy Policy and in their interfaces.
Your controls
You can inspect, delete, or block site data through your browser's privacy settings. Clearing local storage removes saved preferences and tool inputs and may reset the site experience. Because the active Vercel measurements do not use cookies or similar cross-session identifiers, no cookie-consent banner is currently displayed. This does not remove the separate privacy and international-transfer obligations explained in the Privacy Policy. If non-essential cookies or comparable tracking technology are introduced, they will remain disabled until any legally required active choice is obtained, with rejection as easy as acceptance.
