About this tool
Industry-standard scoring: a word is five characters, gross WPM counts everything you typed, net WPM counts only correct characters, and accuracy divides one by the other. All three are reported — net is the number that doesn't lie.
The engine compares target and typed text index-by-index, coloring every character green/red/gray as you go. The timer starts on your first keystroke and results freeze on completion, with a copyable summary for friendly competition.
