About this tool
IP Intelligence combines reverse DNS (PTR), Team Cymru ASN mapping, and Spamhaus ZEN blocklist status for public IPv4/IPv6 addresses.
GeoIP is intentionally omitted in v1 until MaxMind GeoLite2 is configured on the backend. Each check is fault-isolated — one failure does not block the others.
How to use
Enter a public IP
Paste an IPv4 or IPv6 address. Private, loopback, and link-local ranges are rejected.
Review PTR, ASN, and RBL
Use ASN for ownership, PTR for forward-confirmed reverse DNS, RBL for spam/malware listing status.
Use cases
Abuse ticket triage
Document ASN and RBL status before blocking or escalating.
Mail server debugging
Confirm PTR exists for outbound mail IPs.
Common mistakes
Mistake:Expecting geolocation in v1.
Fix:Geo fields are planned with MaxMind — use IP Address Lookup for browser-side GeoJS geolocation instead.
