Ambient Noise Generator

White, pink, brown, rain, ocean, wind and fan — blended live in your browser for focus and sleep

Sound mix

stopped

Presets

All sounds are synthesized in real time — sliders blend live while playing, and playback fades in to avoid clicks.

Sleep timer

Which sound for what?

  • Pink / Rainy focus — the productivity default; masks speech without fatigue
  • Ocean / Brown — deepest, most sleep-friendly
  • Wind / Fan — steady, neutral beds for reading
  • White / Office shield — maximum masking for loud rooms

Examples

Open-office shield

Input
Pink 50% + white 20%
Output
Steady masking that dulls keyboard clatter and nearby conversation

Pink carries most of the masking with far less fatigue than pure white.

About this tool

Three noise colors synthesized mathematically in real time — white (equal energy per hertz), pink (−3 dB/octave, Kellet's filter) and brown (−6 dB/octave, integrated white) — blended live by mixer sliders while playing.

The sound is generated, not sampled: multi-second buffers loop without an audible seam, and a sleep timer (5–120 minutes) fades everything out automatically. No network use after the page loads.

How to use

  1. Start playback

Pink at a comfortable level is the sensible default.

  2. Blend colors

Adjust white/pink/brown sliders live; the mix updates smoothly.

  3. Set the sleep timer

5–120 minutes with a visible countdown, or leave it off.

Use cases

Focus work

Mask interruptions during deep-work blocks.

Sleep

Brown noise at low volume with a 30-minute fade-out.

Common mistakes

Mistake:Playing at high volume

Fix:Masking works at modest levels; loud noise just adds fatigue.

Mistake:Expecting rain or cafe sounds

Fix:This generator does pure noise colors — nature soundscapes are a different tool.
